The Frederick County Fire & Rescue Museum will be closed Saturday, September 14 to allow several of our members to participate in the 250th Anniversary of the Friendship Fire Company of Alexandria "hand drawn apparatus" muster. Several pieces of hand drawn apparatus normally on display at the museum will be transported to Alexandria for this historic event.

As noted on another web site post, the first engine in Frederick "Grandfather" is believed to be the engine named "Veteran" that is on display at the Friendship Fire Company.
